PRECISION OF PARAMETERS ect.

TITLE
Transitions // dynamic><static conditions

LOCATION
The valley Horgardalur - nearest city: Akureyri
At wintertime the temperature will apparently always be below the freezing point which will make the timespans of dynamic and static conditions about equal, with the whole winter as the "special event".  Furthermore in a valley we will have quite great chances of turbulence and thereby structural changes in lots of different directions, that hopefully will create relatively unimaginable architectural qualities.

TIME-FRAME
12 months

STRUCTURAL PRINCIPLE
Planes in diagrid
The planes will be connected with jet undefined joints, following diagrid rules, but if possible likely challenges them. This set of rules still gives us lots of ground for further investigation and decisions: Levels of flexibility in both JOINTS and the MATERIAL itself. Which visual experiences will different uses of materials endorse? If nature of the CLADDING must be kept within the borders of the plane-grid or make further spatial conditions of its own. Must the cladding serve as a mechanical medium for the wind to change the structure or should it react freely? How far will we even dictate the architecture to its frozen positions? Do we want certain qualities or do we aim for the structure show us what is possible?
